Christie is Joey Lynn’s ex-best friend. She stopped talking to Joey Lynn after she heard that Joey Lynn got a little too friendly with her boyfriend at the time.

Matthew is Christie’s boyfriend. He just wants to enjoy the summer and put the past behind them.
